Coughlin says he'll coach again in 2012 (AP)

The Super Bowl-champion New York Giants have returned home. The team's charter plane touched down around 1:55 p.m. Monday at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Several players saluted the crowd as they departed the aircraft, and some used cameras and video recorders to capture the moment and the scene.

Chiefs hire Daboll to run offense (AP)

The Kansas City Chiefs hired Brian Daboll as the team's new offensive coordinator Monday, bringing in a familiar face for new head coach Romeo Crennel. Daboll spent last season in the same job for the Miami Dolphins, and the previous two years serving as Cleveland's offensive coordinator. He worked with Crennel when both were with the Patriots.

Raiders tab Stanford's Tarver to run 'D' (AP)

The Oakland Raiders didn't look far to find a defensive coordinator. The Raiders on Monday hired Stanford's Jason Tarver, who helped shape one of the Pac-12's top defenses while serving as co-defensive coordinator and overseeing the linebackers under rookie head coach David Shaw last season.

For the third consecutive year, the Super Bowl set a record as the most-watched television show in U.S. history. The Nielsen Co. said Monday that an estimated 111.3 million people watched the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots on Sunday night. That narrowly beat the 111 million who watched Green Bay's win over Pittsburgh last year.
